Seattle Stand Up Paddleboard Tour
Join us to explore Elliott Bay, Alki, and the West Seattle Penninsula for a tour on the hottest new way to get on the water, Stand-up Paddleboarding (SUP). SUP is the quickest ways to get out on the great blue, and provides a great core workout.
We will start out with an introduction to the gear and a fitting, then discuss the local conditions, hazards, and our paddle plan. We will spend some time on the beach on the correct use of the gear and then head out on the water. For the first 10-15 minutes we will go over strokes and practice in the Seacrest Marina area. After that, its up to the guide and the group. Head into Elliott Bay to check out native wildlife and the mouth of the Duwamish River, or North around Duwamish Head (potential tug surf) and toward Alki.
There is a really good chance that you will immerse in cold water on this tour. We provide farmer john/jane wetsuits. But hey, if you think you are going to get into this sport, come check out the gear at Mountain to Sound Outfitters, our sister store in West Seattle. We provide the best in cold water paddle gear.
No experience is necessary, hey you can always sit down! However after 30 minutes if you are still uncomfortable on the boards, we will hand you off to the rental shack and head out depending on the group.
